The story of Arrow began in a tiny home in Troy, New York where Mrs. Hannah Montague created the first ever detachable collar.
Ebenezer Brown began manufacturing collars in the back of his general store and the company started out as Maulin & Blanchard, later becoming Cluett, Peadbody & Co. in 1894. J.C. Leyendecker was hired by Cluett, Peabody & Co. He created the famous Arrow Collar Man ads. The Arrow Collar Man became the symbol of the ideal American gentleman.
